Bargain hunting is a favorite pastime of mine. I love a good deal! Even when I see items that I would love to purchase, I much prefer the risk of waiting until it goes on sale to paying full price. So, imagine my excitement to learn, while I was pregnant, that Lexington is home to some awesome children's consignment sales! I don't have to wait for the sale -- this stuff is already on sale for great prices. Children outgrow things so quickly, many times their clothes, toys, books, and all of their associated accessories are barely used before they are outgrown and have to be packed away. Consignment sales are an excellent opportunity to pick up some savings in the children's department!
One in particular is coming up this weekend at the Lexington Recreational Complex on Ballpark Road. It is the Belles and Beaus Children's Consignment Sale. This children's consignment sale has been voted Best Consignment Sale in the Palmetto Parent Family Choice Awards! I have personally shopped this sale in the past and gotten some great deals on like-new or new (some clothes still have store sales tags on them!) clothes, toys, and puzzles. They also have plenty of baby and toddler equipment -- playards, high chairs, walkers, etc. Unfortunately, they will not have car seats this year due to safety issues. Maternity clothing will be for sale, also, as an inevitable part of having little ones!
The sale dates and times are as follows:
March 12: 9 am - 6 pm
March 13: 9 am - 6 pm
March 14: 1:30 pm - 6 pm
All days are open and free to the public. Sunday, March 14, is half-price day, so make sure you stop by to pick up some real bargains that day!
The sale organizers do recommend that you bring your children's measurements and measuring tape with you, as they do not provide a facility for trying on clothing.
