I am calling on all agents in the area of the Appalachian Trail.  This will be a great link love project on Localism.  I received a comment on my post Appalachian Trail Frederick County Maryland by fellow Rainer, Larry Estabrooks, Agent, REALTOR®.  He is along the Appalachian Trail in New Brunswick...Yeah Waaaay up there.  A light bulb went off... Let's get together and link the Appalachian trial together.  I created a group so everyone can find the links in one place. Appalachian Trail Project Please only post about the Appalachian Trail in this group.

Write quick post and tons of Photographs...  I will be going back to mine and add more photos as soon as my lazy butt gets off the computer.

Please pass the word along to someone that you know along the Trail....I am only one man, on a mission!

I wish you all a great success on this!!!  A great way to break the infamous...WRITER'S BLOCK!

Alright Larry... Now we only have about 800 miles between us that needs documented.

Great Idea... Just read an article in our local paper about a couple guys on the trail, never been on it myself.

Bob - This is a great idea.  I can't wait to see some of the pics.  I don't live near the trail so I can just go on the Blog Tour.

What a cool idea!  Looking forward to lots of pics, and a map, too.

Hey Jeff Turner was blogging recently about a really easy photo stitching program.  It must be kismet.

I downloaded and tried this one (after reading about it in Jeff's post)    http://www.autopano.net/  AutoPan.  I really like it.  That reminds me, I'd better go back and pay for it.  It's a keeper.

Bob:   Maybe you can get AutoPan to sponsor the project, like they did with that Harlem guy.  :-)

Maureen:  That new moderator is the cat's pajamas.

Bob, That would be a nice tour to take... Did a little research on the trail and 52 miles goes thru Connecticut.  They don't make it all that easy to understand for a novice though... Expected to find a detailed map but haven't come across one yet.

07/24/2007 01:52 PM by Dan Cummings - Connecticut's Running Realtor (Raveis Real Estate)

That would be like 2 marathons.  Maybe break it up into 3 for the mountains...

Cheryl, I've been thinking about Autopano.  Wonder if I would have to wear a tattoo or something for their sponsership?

Anyone have any ideas on getting this to the agents alone the Appalachian trail?

08/01/2007 11:17 AM by Bob Carney Licensed MD/PA Real Estate Agent (Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc.)

Bob, I think what it will take is to locate rainers in counties, in states along the Appalachian range and email them asking for their help by blogging something about the trail in their county.

I'll start with Maine and work South as time permits.
You could start from your location.
