Providence

Real Estate Agent with Prominent Realty Group

Providence is a new masterplanned community in Northwest Las Vegas, just off of Hualapai Road. The property is being developed by Focus Property Group, the company behind Mountain's Edge. Providence homes are being builted by over a dozen different builders, each adding their own unique touch to the 30 different neighborhoods that will eventually make up the community.  Providence is being developed with a strong traditional American theme. Over 4,000 trees are being planted throughout the community. Sets of neighborhoods will have the same species of tree planted throughout, giving the community contrasting colors in the fall and spring.

Three major parks are planned, along with "pocket parks" (a total of 33 acres)which will all be connected throughout the community by 10 miles of walking and jogging trails. Three additional schools are planned for the community as well.  Sales have started for select neighborhoods with more models scheduled to be open before the end of the year.

I love how Vegas does communities like that. having the different builders all set up at the same time and build out an area makes it so much more cohesive than how they build around here. Plus then the shopping, schools, jobs, .... all get to the area quicker as it is all built up. Towns out here should use the masterplanned community approach.

As the population grows older, I think or hope that more communities like that will pop up. There is a community in Denver, I think in Boulder that is like a commune (sp) which I think we may see more of.

By the way, good job getting your link in. Good material.
