The Real Estate Association of York and Adams Counties just released the February 2010 real estate sales statistics. Despite the fact that the average sale price is slightly lower than 2009 it's a positive sign to see sales volume for 2010 16% higher than last year. Burmudian Springs, Fairfield, and Littlestown, all showed increases in averages sale price and volume sold. Gettysburg's average price price took the largest hit, but this number could simply be due to the small number of properties sold and low prices for those homes. I'd expect a rebound in average sale price over the next few months.
All and all things are looking up for South Central Pa.
