Omaha Knows the Benefits of a hard Day's Work

We have all heard the phrase work smarter not harder.  Well in the Omaha Metro area workers are taking that to heart. So much so that the Omaha Chamber of Commerce's workforce Development Council consultants collaborate with companies on strategic solutions to address workforce challenges.  They help businesses acquire talent and advocate for Omaha as a place to live, work and play.

Finding out what sets Omaha apart from the rest of the state and country is something that Mark Hirschfeld, one of the people instrumental in launching Omaha's Best Place to Work initiative, wanted to find for himself.  In 2008 the initiative conducted a survey that revealed the following key attributes of area employees:

•1.       Just over ninety percent of those surveyed said they are always thinking about ways to do their job better.

•2.       Eighty-nine percent of those surveyed indicated they feel very loyal to their work group.

•3.       Almost ninety percent of those surveyed have a clear understanding of how their job helps the organization be successful.

•4.       Eight-eight percent of the participants surveyed said they would like to be working for the same company one year from today.

•5.       Over eighty-five percent of the employees surveyed commented they have developed close and trusting relationships at work.

As shown by this survey that the Chamber is well on their way to completing their vision of making Omaha a vibrant place to do business, work and live. If you are planning on relocating to Omaha, visit www.TrummTeam.com for information on homes for sale.
