Utah Meth Laws: About a month ago I posted a quick blog asking for information regarding homes with Meth and what other active rain agents had ran across. It seems like everyone had as much information as I did at that point......... not enough I still had lots of questions.
In the process of renewing my brokers license, I took the core class offered by the division "Utah's Meth Laws" The class was instructed by Dana Stanford. I felt it was an excellent class and should be taken by all Utah real estate agents.
She covered who is allowed to "clean up" meth homes, what clean up (re-mediation) really means, what type of meth activity would result in what type of level testing, when it gets turned into the county, if it gets turned in and how long it stays on the county records. *It meaning a home that has tested over 1.0 for Utah*
Why the law changed from needing remediation at last years level of .25 to this years level of 1.0 who is responsible, where the key areas to test are, who can report testing to the county, who is liable if it is not re-mediated correctly and the list goes on and on....
