Genealogy: Using the Internet to Investigate Your Family History

Connie Nourse and Jennifer Bell, genealogy experts from the General James Moore Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, discuss how to use the internet to investigate your family history. Hazard Mitigation Plan Pubic Hearing

Wake Forest Town Hall, 401 Elm Ave.
The Wake Forest Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the Wake Forest Town Hall. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the adoption of the 5-year update to the 2004 Hazard Mitigation Plan, pursuant to state and federal law. Firing Range Training
Wednesday, March 17; 1 pm - 9 pm
Police Department Firing Range, behind Flaherty Park Community Center
Residents in the area are advised that the Wake Forest Police Department will conduct firing range training at the police department firing range, located behind the Flaherty Park Community Center. The firing range is utilized by Wake Forest Police officers who require instruction and practice in order to obtain current certification in the use of firearms. NCTraCS Symposium: Translational Research to Address Health Disparities Across the Lifespan

Lifestyle Ministries Christian Spoken Word Event

Calling all poets, rappers and songwriters! Exercise your chops at Lifestyle Ministries’ first Christian Spoken Word event on Saturday, March 20. This event is open to everyone. Poems can be no longer than five minutes. Poems including profanity, sexually explicit references, and violence will not be allowed. First prize $75; Second prize $50; and Third prize $25. Easter Egg Hunt

Join the Town of Wake Forest Parks & Recreation Department as we hunt for over 3,000 hidden eggs, including several golden eggs with special prizes, at E. Carroll Joyner Park. In the event of rain, the egg hunt will be held at Flaherty Park Community Center. The egg hunt schedule is: Ages 9-12: 1:30 pm
Ages 5-8: 2:15 pm
Ages 4 and younger: 3 pm


Wake Forest Historical Association 3rd Quarterly Meeting
Sunday, March 21; 3 pm - 5 pm

Members of the Wake Forest Historical Association and Wake Forest area residents are invited to the association's third quarterly meeting for 2009-2010 where noted exhibit designer Ches Crow will describe what you will soon see - and what the future holds - in the new annex to the Wake Forest Birthplace. Refreshments will be served at the meeting. 2010 memberships are still being accepted for $10.
