FRANKLIN TN IS GETTING A PRO BASKETBALL TEAM!

I'm not much of a sports fan, but I love to hear things like this! Not because it's a basketball team, but because it's a PRO basketball team. This is the beginning of the article from the Tennessean (which I link to at the end of this blog):

Meet the Franklin Knights, a startup pro basketball team that will play in the World Basketball Association Exposure League.

When they tip off their first game in May, they'll be the only pro basketball team in the Nashville area...

"Being in Franklin is a huge advantage, not only just in business but because the families of Williamson County want us to be there," he said. "The reason we branded it Franklin is because we are doing this for our community. A community that doesn't have endless amounts of entertainment, especially professional sports."

I'm not a big sports fan either, but I would have to ask if Franklin is a "college sports town" or is Tennessee a college sports states? If so, the pro team may not have a chance if Tennessee is anything like Alabama: If Alabama and Auburn are not playing or it's not the Magic City Classic, who cares about a pro team (excluding me, I come from a pro team state - Detroit, MI,). Been in Alabama since 1982 and I'm still amazed that college ball beats out pro ball.

Interesting Tori, though I love college ball I am not much of a pro fan. But around here, if they build it they will come, so I think it may work out well. Like you, I love being in Franklin and enjoying all our small town has to offer while being a short hop from all that Music City (Nashville) has as well.

I don't pay attention to sports either Tori, I am immersed in a college Town - ranked number one in country by Forbes - Ann Arbor, so I am aware of the athletics. I like th way you worked in the long tail on your post.
