First, you may be thinking..."BFF, what is that?". I am really a sad story. My BFF, otherwise known as Best Friend Forever, is my laptop and wireless Internet at home. Can you believe how easily we get caught up in the ease of use of our technology?
I am a serial mortgage blogger. By this, I mean I sneak into a corner of the house with my laptop and have quiet to get some "important work done"...for me, it is important. My fiance' insists I am playing on the internet. He says, "Honey, I know how important blogging is to you...". So, enough history, you can clearly see I enjoy my time to blog and the wireless internet in my house that allows me to work just about anywhere. Disclaimer: Don't worry, it has never been in the bathroom with me!
Since Friday at 6pm, I have been without my best friend, my home internet service. It was a difficult couple of days and I found myself just sitting and staring at the computer, hoping some miracle would happen and a star from heaven would drop internet service to my house. Needless to say, it didn't happen.
Yesterday, the local Tampacable guy came and delivered the bad news that I wouldn't be getting my service yesterday with some long drawn out story about why we had to wait for another set of technicians. Hello?!? Dude, all I need is my internet. Can't you tell from my shaking I am going through withdraws? I tried to bribe him with anything I could find in the house. I offered the dog...no deals....cold beer...no can do...I even tried offering off the neighbors cat with no luck. No service for me!
Today, a new cable guy came and after 2.5 hours...we have internet again! My lifeline has been restored! I am so excited to say I am sitting in my comfy chair, again, blogging to you all. I am catching up on some good reading and happy to be back in the loop. And, I can't imagine being alone without my BFF again in the future.
