I Have Been Droid ed in Virginia Beach

I have been DROID ed and I like it.  Actually I bought two.  One for me and one for my bride of 36 years.  I had a Motorola Q9M and the wife a Curve Blackberry.  The battery life on the Q was dismal to say the least.  The Blackberry was quite good but using the internet was torture.  The DROID fixes all those problems and then some.

If you haven't surfed on a 3G network it is great.  No lag it just zooms.  The two keyboards and speech give you lots of ways to enter information.  I bought a mount window mount for mine to utilize the GPS and that works just super.  It is powered by Google by the way in case you didn't know.

The best thing is that if you don't like somethin for the most part there is an APP for that.  I have one for my text messaging that allows me to put a signature on and also to "speak" and turn that into a text.  How neat is that.

I LOVE these new android phones. I just hope that there won't be some new revolution in technology in 3 months or so. I paid entirely too much for a new phone to have to change again so soon. Everythng seems to be moving so rapidly.  Does that make me really, really old?

I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and get it. This is the second time today I have heard only good praise for this phone. I keep telling myself that my Blackberry does everything I need, but I thinks it's time for an upgrade.

I'm still trying to decide between Droid and iPhone. How is the photo quality and editing on the Droid?

John,

I don't know about editing as I don't do that.  The phone doesn't come with any type of word processing software.  There is an APP you can get for that however.  It is not a Windows phone but a software product from Google.
