Le Petit Bistro a French Restaurant in Rhinebeck NY

As a real estate Broker, I help people buy and sell real estate, and from such interactions friendships develop.  It is always such a pleasure getting together with past clients.

Tonight I met up with a couple former clients for dinner,  and we chose Le Petit Bristro a French Restaurant in Rhinebeck NY; named the best French Restaurant in the Hudson Valley four years in a row.

A combination of good food and good service is always a determining factor as to whether I will return , and Le Petit Bistro wins on both count.  From the moment you walk in you are warmly greeted, your coat put away and you are seated,  Next  the Maitre d' comes over with his chalk board and go over the  specials.  Everything sounded so good it was hard making a decision, I finally decided on a scallop dish with couscous. It was only after I was waiting for my meal that I realized I had not even opened the menu.

The restaurant looks like it has about 20 tables and a full bar.  I would recommend that you make reservation especially on the weekend.

So  here is a pictorial view of some of the dishes served.

Le Petit Bistro -Chicken and Polenta

Le Petit Bistro - A Pasta dish with smoked Fish

If you plan to visit the area Le Petit Bistro is a gem in Rhineck you should check out.

I remember as a little kid my parents would take us up to Rhinbeck for the Airshow.  Do your guys still have those?  I'd love to see a Folkker Tri-Plane flying again.

Jennifer, don't tease me like that!  French is my favorite and we don't have one on the entire island.

Jennifer~

As you say..."...A combination of good food and good service is ...." , and Le Petit Bistro wins on both counts. ..." and that formula works even when you are visiting the mountains...

Hi Jennifer...By this time in the evening I'm ready for a snack.  All of your entrees made me want more than just a snack.  Loved your "cleaned" plate.

Gosh, those plates look so good!  I'll try this place if I get up that way, but I love to cook.....maybe I can come up with something similar.  It will be fun to try.

I am glad you stopped with three plates. I was getting hungrier by the picture. Maybe some ice cream will help.

Jennifer, those are scrumptious looking dishes and sound like a great place to dine. Just curious, did you bring a camera along to dinner or did you take the pictures with the cell phone?

I have always wanted to go here and for some reason every time I am in Rhinebeck this place seems to be CLOSED. I will keep trying. The food looks delish.
