After getting 7 online referrals this week, I was wondering how do you search for an agent to send a referral to? Do you use Activerain, Trulia, Realtor.com, or your own franchise's website? Any new ideas would also be appreciated! All the best, Jeremy

I would first try to refer to agents I know through some sort of interaction (conferences, ActiveRain, etc). Second would be via discussion with agents in the office and who they recommend. I would only do "blind" referrals as a last resort.

Jeremy, First of course send them all to me. If that doesn't work I agree with Richard, do some homework. Read the blogs and get a sense of who they are. Call and discuss something other than the referral to reinforce or rebut your impression of them, just in case they pay someone to blog for them.
Who you refer people to will reflect on you, for better or worse.
