A few weeks ago our firm Century 21 BHJ sponsored the Sheridan WYO Parade and Rodeo. As I was looking at the photos I took, I started to think that surprisingly enough, there are lots of similarities between rodeos and real estate. Suddenly I had the topic for my first post on Active Rain. So here it is.
Why Rodeos are A Lot Like Real Estate?
Rodeo: You only have 8 seconds to hold on and impress the judges.
Real Estate: You only have about 8 seconds to impress your web visitor and convince them to stay on your website or blog. In our area, land and ranches are HOT Properties. So we make sure we address the site visitors needs and freely give them the tools and information they seek without making them sign-up.
Sometimes both the buyer’s agent and the seller’s agent work together flawlessly to get the job done.
And then there are the times when the other agent just sits and watches as you fall flat on your face.
The experienced pros know what to expect and can make even toughest task look easy.
While the amateurs struggle just to hold on.
Rodeo: A good Cowboy knows that it takes a strong horse to get the job done.
Real Estate: A good Agent knows that it takes a strong online presence and a great support staff to get the job done.
No matter how many times you fall, you just have to pick yourself up and dust yourself off.
And Finally…
