I read a lot of blog posts each week that complain about the incompetence of someone else, such as another Realtor who doesn't return phone calls promptly, or has an emailbox that is full, or even a wrong email address in a contact me link.

What's interesting is that sometimes when I do a little more exploring, I'll find a bad phone number or email address at the ActiveRain profile or web site of the person writing the post.

It might be worthwhile to look in the mirror before complaining. I know I've had to do that occasionally.

We always seem to be waiting on someone else, but what if that someone else is waiting on us?

I'm waiting on you!

Is someone waiting on you?

I'm waiting on you!

Very good point.  I guess, we each need to do more of that.

Russel - Very true, I definitely think everyone should take a look in the mirror often.

Russel, I also agree with your point here.  Love the photo of the dog in the boat.

You are so right, Russell!   Great point!  I discovered an old web site addtress somewhere a while ago - had forgotten about changing it in that spot!  I'm guilty!

Hey Russel, great picture of the bird in the raft.  Is it a great heron?

Russel...I love the picture with the dog patiently waiting.  You make a good point about using a litte introspection from time to time.  Thanks for the reminder.

Good point Russel.  I don't very often complain, it usually doesn't do any good, but I will go check my profile to make sure no one is waiting on me...

I hope not.  I try to get back to everyone by cob on the day of their call, even if it is to say that I have not had a chance to get to their issue.

I've always loved the Michael Jackson song "Man In The Mirror" and I agree...we should all start with ourself when diagnosing a problem.

Hey, Folks.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I have read all the comments, but since this post is rather old, rather than making comments here in my post to each and every one of you, I'll just let everyone know that I have read all the comments and if there are any questions, I'll answer those below. Otherwise I'll simply post this comment and then head over to your blogs soon to visit and do some reading and commenting. I hope you'll have a nice welcome mat out for me!

Don't forget to let your cat come out to play with all the other ActiveRain kitties. Your cat-friendly dogs can come, too!

If you need a great cat book, get yourself a copy of Peg Silloway's The Cat Lover's Book of Days.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Hey, Liz - Yes, it's a great blue heron. The picture was taken downtown on Shelter Island where I don't see great blue herons very often, so it was a pleasure getting that one on the raft.
