33 Comments on You Don't Want To Pat This Pussy Cat - The Canadian Lynx
Happy St. Patrick's Day, you Irish folks! We're celebrating the little teeny bit of Irish my husband has..
Hi Al and Peggy ~ I love all kitties!! These are gorgeous. And get ahold of those paws! I have a thing for paws and those are magnificent.
Happy St Patrick's Day! I'm about to go out for boiled dinner. Yahoo!
Liz
It would be nice to have a big cat instead of those little things that run around.
Al and Peggy those kitties look like they are ready to tier something apart. They do not look like nice kitties to me.
Al & Peggy - I can't believe the average Canadian Lynx is only 24 pounds, they appear so much bigger, maybe it's the fur.
Al and Peggy, there are some pretty amazing kitties on Active Rain today! And these are certainly the biggest I've see so far.
Seems like a lot of animal info you are picking up Gerry!
They are truly beautiful aren't they Wanda. Sad they are also vicious
We know Nancy, you are right! Somehow though it isn't as frightening on the little kitty cats.
They should be shouldn't they Ed. We must have had too much green beer, cuz you are looking a little green there yourself buddy.
Oh, they're magnificent! There was once a lynx loose in our area years ago when I lived in northern California. We have no idea where it came from.
Debi
Magnificent looking cat. You are right, I don't want to pet this one...
Helping you, help others, live their American dream...
I think these cats are so gorgeous. But like you said mighty dangerous!
They sure are pretty and soft looking ... ;o)
Aren't they gorgeous Leslie? Yes, they do look cuddly but we think not so much.
Wonder why they didn't do well there Mary?
Your welcome Michael, they were just posing for a picture!
They do look regal don't they Dagny...we are also only a drop full of Irish but hey, we will celebrate anything! LOL!
Hope you enjoyed your boiled dinner Liz and yes, those are huge paws, wouldn't want to be hit by them.
They do have that 'kill' look in their eyes, don't they George. When we took the picture they didn't move, just kept eyeballing us.
We were surprised they were 24 lbs too Michelle, heck our little guys are only 9 and 15 lbs.
But isn't there something about these guys that make you want to touch them Pat?
Oh we wouldn't want to see one of those in our backyard Debi. Must have been unnerving to know one was loose.
But they made for a good photo though Michael! Except we had nothing around them to compare the size too.
It was interesting reading about them Debra, too bad they are dangerous.
Liz they are very soft looking. We like their pointed ears.
They do look so cute, don't they?
Very Chris! Still can't get over the size of its paws though.
You're the ME and they'll provide the OWWWWWW
LOL!! Larry!! That was too too funny and that is exactly the reason we stayed on the other side of the fence!!
Looks can be deceiving, right? They look cuddly enough.
The Toronto Zoo via your link has it correct, but you don't, so I'm going to have to chastise you.
That lynx does not have a nationality, so it is not a Canadian lynx. It is a Canada lynx.
If I had time to go edit all the errors at Wikipedia, I would, but I have other things to do.
That big, monster bird that came from Canada, the Canada goose, also has no nationality, even though lots of people like to call it a Canadian goose.
