Keller ISD in Keller, Texas continues to grow rapidly! The construction of Timberview Middle School is under way as we speak. Located in between Heritage Trace and Golden Triangle off Old Denton Road, the school will be home to grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. It is planned to open in August 2010, but rain over the last few months has slowed down the construction somewhat.
Timberview Middle School's mascot will be the Hawks decked out in purple and black after a unanimous vote by the Keller ISD school board. There will also be an early childhood development center on the property called Keller Early Learning Center. Their mascot will be named appropriately, the Cubs, with green and white as their colors.
Timberview Middle School is the only campus in Keller ISD that will be home to 5th - 8th graders. As the construction continues, it leaves me wondering if they're going to expand or at least repair Old Denton Road. I live in the area, and the road is filled with pot holes and hills. There is also plans for a new hospital to be built in the same vicinity off Golden Triangle and I-35.
