Part Time Agents Are you doing the best for your clients?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Realty Specialists Inc.,

There was a piece recently from the Regional Office at RE/MAX that tweeked a few noses about part time agents in the business.

Now we are going a step further;

On twitter  I found this profile;   so while you are at work for the employer who pays your full time salary, you are online twittering and trying to gain social media traction as an expert in a local community.

You will be ready, instantly available, to list, or advise an owner on where best to live, worship, shop, laugh and play.

You are available for home inspections, appraisals, meetings with Lawyers and Clients when they need you to be awake alert and ON THE JOB!.

If I was your Employer and found your twitter profile (because it is possible for "them" to check up on you right?)  What should their reaction be?

If I was your Buyer Seller Lender Lawyer but I could never reach you till 6:30 PM....  Could I recommend you honestly?

I think the bar should be raised higher than just getting your license.  We should be required to be full time real estate professionals.

Professional and Persistent in getting things done is my new motto.

What is yours?

Do you agree or disagree?

Hey David!  I'm not big fan of part time agents either!  I would say that 30-40% of the agents in my office are part time and they probably have no idea how hard a mediation panel will come down on them if they screw up with a client!

Excellent Point Stephen,

Not only are the part time people usually less informed because of time available to do the "job"  Ignorance of the rules will not solve their pain when in mediation.

Thank you for posting!   To your continued success!

You will get out of this business, or any other endeavor in life, what you put into it IMHO.
