Suzie's Snowdrops

These cold loving perennials worked their way up through the snow a few weeks ago and now are in their full glory. It's almost 60 degrees today in the Delaware Valley and these babies are in full shade until a little after high noon. They are Snowdrops, genus Galanthus. No fragrance. They don't need to attract insects for pollination. To me they are the harbinger of hope for Spring, much like seeing a Robin on the lawn or a motorcycle on the road!

Looks like spring is finally rearing its head.  Love the awakening of all the grass, trees and flowers.
