Funds have recently become avaiable to provide grants to homebuyers through NSP funds for these Georgia Counties: Bartow Catoosa Chattoga Dade Floyd Gordon Haralson Paulding Polk Walker
This is a great program that can be used with any 30 yr fixed rate loan program.
Eligibility is based on total household income and is available within specific areas of these counties where it has been determined there is the greatest need.
Money available is either $10,000 $15,000 or $20,000
The amount you qualify for is based on median income limits for the county.
The funds are FREE - i.e. there will be a soft second held against the home and evey year a portion is forgiven, so no repayment required unless you sell or move out early. Grant funds can be used towards closing costs or downpayment on the home, and in some cases, repairs up to $4500
