Video is KING on the web, both in terms of what people want to watch, but more importantly for what search engines look at and rank high

I've talked about this tool before but I wanted to show you how easy it was to create videos from your house pictures.

This video shows me building a video for a new listing, you can do it super easily, give it a try yourself.

Here is the KEY to the SEO part of the equation. I don't show it here, but uploading your video to YouTube is a one click affair. Google owns youtube, so they like to put it's content at the top of searches

The other killer feature is their 'one touch remix' if you don't like the video, you click "remix" and it mixes up a new one for you.

The secret is to title your video with the keywords you're trying to rank for - house address, the area, 'listing for sale in Ohio" ... whatever you're trying to place for. Make that the title, then make a dozen versions of the video ... all with slightly different titles... upload them all to youtube (with basically a single click each) and ... you're done ... super SEO power.

Let me know how you do, I'm guessing a few of you will suddenly have 1st place Google rankings :)

Try it for free by clicking this link - ultimately you want the commercial version though for $250/Year it's a steal of a deal

Here is the video that I made in the demo - probably wouldn't use this music for a clients house, but you get the picture, look how the edits all work with the bear of the music, it's neat how they cut to the beat it always looks great.

Kathy - they do have a free trial level, you're limited to a 30 second video and they show their 'animoto' logo at the end of the clip.

It's fine for trying it out and your first few videos, (and actually for the SEO side of what I'm suggesting here, you don't care that much about branding, it's about spitting out more videos with keyword titles).

I think in the big picture though, it's worth the money to invest in the pro account.

Will have to chek this out - right now alot of agents in my office just use Windows movie maker - this is much more slick!

Thanks for the ideas on how to use video and seo. I am pretty hand with video and didn't know about remixing the video and re-uploading it. I will try that with the keywords you mentioned and see how it works. I will keep you guys posted on the results. Thanks again!

Hi Riel,

Thanks so much for giving me another reason to procrastinate packing! :)  I'd heard of animoto before but had never seen it in action.  Thanks for the great ideas about how to leverage this tool.  I've signed up for PRO package and have already made 2 videos! Love it!

Great post and I'm going to check it out. Another option I used was to get a professional looking YouTube video was to hire our local cable network to produce a commercial for their local real estate channel. The cost of the commercial was $400 for 30 seconds, and they emailed me a wmv file and I loaded on YouTube. Its very cool. I'm going to check out your idea. I just signed up for Animoto a few days ago and made my first video of a new listing.  I LOVE it and loved how the video turned out.  I'm anxious to get going with some more videos - they look great and are so easy to make with Animoto.  I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the advice about just remixing it and posting it over and over. I love it! I made my first video last night with animoto and it turned out great. I used to use spotmixer but they are way too expensive since they raised their rates. Animoto is just as good and way cheaper.

Holy Cow,  This is fantastice post.  I have entered about 10 YouTube videos and it only takes about 15 minutes each, and it so easy.  As soon as I get familiar Im going to the $250. upgrade.

Can anyone explain how you change the title once you have remixed the video?

I do it at the YouTube level instead.

I don't think you can change the title on a 1 touch remix.

The other option would be to do the 'edit' way which means a few more clicks, but then you could change your title.

This can't be the free version. I've seen another post on this and your tutorial was very well done. Pretty much it's all included. I use the Photo Story 3 from windows that has transitions, etc. just not as cool.  Makes a 'grandma' video which is OK for real estate I guess.  I'm going to look into it further.
