Cell Phone Use - An Eye Opener
I was one of the first in our area to get a cell phone when they first came out it was a big box, the size of a small suitcase, in the trunk with wires to the handset by my seat. It was for my convenience as phones are few and far between in the country. With each new advance in technology I would get a new one but it was always to help make my life easier and allow me to function out in the country away from the desk.
Even today my new droid with all its capabilities is for my convienience. I get emails, my pages and my text messages from my web site all on mt phone. My family has my number and my car on star number but they are for emergencies. I generally try to keep in touch with my clients by email and only a few use my phone.
Once I've made a connection with a client I explain that I am not always able to answer my cell (especially when driving or when with a client). I let them know the best way is to email me and I give them an email address that goes to my phone or they can text my cell phone from my web site.
Watching Oprah yesterday was a real eye opener.
