The West Broward Family YMCA is an awesome place to meet friends and get in a good workout. The YMCA is located in Weston Florida. It provides all different types of sporting activities. It also is a great place to meet people socially who live in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The facility is located within Weston Regional Park. The park itself houses baseball fields,soccer fields,roller hockey, and outdoor basketball courts. The YMCA also has two indoor courts.

The olympic size pool provides smimming lessons and there is also a mini water tot lot. The YMCA also has a summer camp on site for all your childrens needs.

The facilities include Indoor-Outdoor Pool, Gym, Fitness Center, Free Weight Room, Aerobics/Studio, Climbing Walls, Teen-Youth Center,Babysitting room and Computer/game Room.

The Fitness center has a variety of state of the art free weights,stair masters,treadmills,elliptical training,nautilus machines,rowing machines,life cycles,exercise balls,mat training and spinning classes. Personal trainers are available on site by appointment only. Other programs include Aquatics, Camping, Family, Childcare, Community Development, Sports, Teens

The Ultimate Sports Institute is available to all Broward County residents. The building is still under construction but should be completed very soon...they currently operate out of the YMCA. The program goal is to help you get to your fullest physical potential. Learn from former professional athletes and renowned strength and conditioning coaches. They will be sure to motivate you to reach the ultimate level of fitness.

What a facility! Looks like they have everything you could possible want in a recreational center, great job putting this one together. :)

Neal we do not have a YMCA - but I am familiar with them.... this one looks exceptional - what a great benefit from buying in this neighborhood

My entire YMCA could fit in your workout room. I still love it and enjoy hitting the weights early morning.

Neal, that is a great facility. We have a YMCA here in town, and it offers much of the same things that yours does, but the facility is much older and not done up as nice as yours.

By the way I hope that is not one of Lenn Harley's maps!!! I don't want to have to come in visit you in jail :)

Yes and I did not even include the pictures of the basketball courts. baseball fields,the soccer fields and the hockey rinks. Actually if you see my Flat James post some of the hptos were at the fileds.

Really? Well as long as there is enough equipment to work out with then that is great. I go there 3-4 times a week.

No it is not Lenn's...it is courtesy of yahoo. This facility is fairly brand new. They just finished the pool about the beginning to the summer in June.

Nealthat YMCA looks like a very nice facility. Hats off to whoever designed that one. So Neal, if I was to show up at that gym, where would I find you? Cardio? Free Weights? Basketball Court or Pool? Aloha.

it seems awesome, do you want to play a One and One ? Julious Erving and Larry Bird ? I remember that game in the old commodore 64 that I used to play.

It is new and very nice for athletic activities...the ultimate sports institute will be even more popular once the building is finished.

Neal, :) I Loved to play basket when I was young, what sport do you like to play or you used to play ?

Neal, I am so glad they have this opened. YMCA's are big deals in NC and are very family friendly.

Was big with baseball and hockey..those are my two favorites.

I have joined very expensive gyms but this suits me fine and it is right up the road from my home and we joined the whole family for $74 a month. no contracts.

hockey seems difficult to me, I do not know how to handle on the ice :) baseball it is ok , I like it. I have seen the colorado avalanche games and they are tough.

Both sports are exciting...try it you might like it!

Hi Neal, I joined the West Broward facility when it first opened. I actually decided to cancel my membership because I became quite frustrated with the teenagers hogging the machines and the classes being too packed. I think the facility is great, its a wonderful addition to the community.

I go to the gym there in the morning hours...if you go more in the evening ..yes they get a bit crowded. But that is because it is so popular and people work during the day and can only work out at night. All gyms are the same. But you can't beat the family price to join.
