University of New Mexico (UNM) Lobos came up Short Today

In as much as I wanted the Lobos to win today, I must admit, they really came up short.  It was as if they didn't show up for the  game; they were blown away by the Washington, 82-64.  This, on a day when we witnessed the top ranked University of Kansas defeated by Northern Iowa and the BYU Cougars outed by Kansas State.

All things considered though, the Lobos had a great season: overall record of 30-5; Mountain West Conference Champions; ranked in the top 32 of 350 Division 1 Basketball Programs in the nation.  For a young team, this is quite impressive. Lobos had one Senior, Roman Martinez on the roster, he will be missed.

Now it's time to go back to the drawing board.  I believe what UNM needs is  a "BIG MAN" to establish its presence inside the paint.  The current supporting cast is pretty good.  Got any ideas?

GO LOBOS!!

Hi Mary,

I follow sports, so it makes it a bit easy to know about each school
