Hi Ruth~ I remember as a very young girl watching the infamous Red Skelton on TV!
RUth, thanks for sharing this video..I really liked it. My Dad loved to watch Red Skelton show.
Rebecca, as a young girl I actually watched him with my grandparents. Black and white television, of course!
Don, Amen.
Ruth, I grew up watching Red's show too. When I was 16 my family took a trip to Disneyland and came home through Reno. Red was still performing in Sparks Nevada at the time and we all took in his show. It was hilarious. He performed this there and we have a signed copy of the text. Thanks for sharing.
Ruth - Very touching from a man I watched as a child and respect.
I had the honor of meeting and getting Red Skelton's autograph when I was only 10 years old. I was eating breakfast , french toast (yes I remember. It was an exciting day for me) at the Peppermill in Reno with my parents when in walked Red Skelton. I approached him a few minutes after he sat down and asked for his autograph. He gave me the biggest smile and said absolutely! He asked my name and then proceeded to talk to me for about a minute before I thanked him and sat back down. What a kind and generous man he was. He always made me laugh when he would stick his hair up and act silly and was a gentleman when i met him in person.
Here is the official Red Skelton website dedicated to his loving memory.
That was a great video Ruth! I do not remember watching him on tv or anything, lol. I'm a youngin'! :)
Thanks for posting this video, it made me laugh and really made my day, Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing this Ruth. There are a few people in Washington DC that need to see it!
