So I joined the group "Tea Party": They deleted my post AND me from their group!

I joined the group called "Tea Party" here on Active Rain.

I posted a simple entry saying that I was proud to be an American today.

Well, I got this email this morning from Active Rain:

Your post 'America Has Spoken! The Time for Health Care Reform is NOW!!' has been removed from the group 'teaparty' by an administrator or moderator.

Just wanted to let everyone know that's how groups like these operate.

It's such an awful shame that we have some small groups in this country who think that if you do not think, feel, act, and believe EXACTLY like they do then you need to be ignored.

I hope they are someday blessed with the realization that there are hundreds of millions of people in this country who don't appreciate their attempt to marginalize all of us into the idealogy of their small, minority group.

Oh my goodness Ralph, I guess they made it pretty clear that your post was not welcome.

Poor Ralph,

I believe you and people like you who want this kind of change will rue the day you subscribed to your way of thinking. JMHO

So get over it, will ya!

I just checked @ 4:47 pm CST and you are a member, so what is your complaint?

Just to clarify, if you were not a member you would not have been able to post on this group.  Get your shit straight!

Hi, Ralph.  I read this post through the Tea Party group, and I checked the membership roll and you're still a member.  I guess your title is half-true?

Hi Ralph... it's a shame that some groups and their moderators are so closed minded.  Hang in there.

I've stopped a long time reading the posts or commenting on the political groups.  They seem to bring the worst out of people.  See comment #2.

Ross,

If you didn't have your head up your @$$, you would have seen that I re-joined the group......TWICE....after being deleted......TWICE

But I guess you're too busy blowing hot air to notice anything but the sound of your own self-depricating voice.

I love your headshot.  Posting a picture of fowl seems appropriate, since your comments reek of it.

Hi Ross, Thank you for commenting on my post last night. I thought I'd check out your blog too.

After reading this particular post, I wish you had not tied your feelings about the national tea party to your experience with the AR group. I can understand why you would be annoyed by the national party based on your own ideas, but can you really be frustrated with the AR group????

It seems blatantly obvious that your post would and should be deleted. It is not consistent with the group's intent. The entire purpose of making a group is to specify the content!! For example, I started a group called "How To Flip Houses". I would not expect people to revisit my group if there was a hodge-podge of other subjects.

Did you try to post in a general politics group or a liberal group?

Jeremy,

Nothing you're saying makes any sense at all.

What do you mean "tie"?

The post was written on the AR site.   I'm not the one who "tied" it.

And wasn't posting any "feelings".

I merely stated that they deleted my posts.

And hodgepodge?  I responded to the content with the same kind of content.  It's not like a posted recipe for butternut squash or something entirely random?

Just wanted to illustrate the hypocrisy on the same site that it was posted on.

What am I supposed to do, go over to another site and post that they deleted me?

I'll try to explain where I'm coming from...

When you wrote, "I hope they are someday blessed with the realization that there are hundreds of millions of people in this country who don't appreciate their attempt to marginalize all of us into the idealogy of their small, minority group."I thought you were referring to the national tea party. I didn't realize that millions of people don't appreciate the AR group. I apologize.

When I wrote, "It seems blatantly obvious that your post would and should be deleted. It is not consistent with the group's intent" I was referring to your post titled 'America Has Spoken! The Time for Health Care Reform is NOW!!'. Do you really believe your content is consistent with a group who's description states "This is a group for ... folks who believe in ... smaller government. If you think socialism is the answer please do not join" ????

Poor Ralph,

Poor poor Ralph, how in the world can your mate sleep with you when you smell like SHIT!  If you looked at my photo closely you would see the the week willed and mined, save me because I can not take care of myself, at the bottom of natures feet.
