This picture got me thinking.....

Today I saw this milk case in a storage room of a library (I will not mention names or location to protect the innocent). As you can clearly see, the case being used for storing cords and cables, a clear violation of the "illegal use of a milk case" law that was apparently established in Texas in 1989. I can only guess that there was rampant and widespread miss-use of milk cases during the 80s along with neon colors and mousse.

It got me thinking about stupid laws that are out there and who in the world felt strong enough about these things to actually write them in to law. So I did a little research and found a few more stupid laws that gave me a chuckle...

The Bluebonnet is the official song of the state flower. (I will sleep better knowing our state flower has a song!)
It is illegal to sell ones eye. (There goes my retirement plan!)
A program has been created in the state that attempts to control the weather. (That will come in handy when temperature reaches triple digits!)
When two trains meet each other at a railroad crossing, each shall come to a full stop, and neither shall proceed until the other has gone. (This can only lead to a backlog of trains at many railroad crossings in Texas, don't ya think?)
It is illegal to take more than three sips of beer at a time while standing. (Now you tell me!)
Up to a felony charge can be levied for promoting the use of, or owning more than six dildos. (Huh?)
It is illegal for one to shoot a buffalo from the second story of a hotel. (So I guess I can still shoot one from the third story and above?)
It is illegal to milk another person's cow. (What about their goat?)
A recently passed anti crime law requires criminals to give their victims 24 hours notice, either orally or in writing, and to explain the nature of the crime to be committed. (Glad to know I can remove my security system since I will be forewarned of any crime to be committed)
Homosexual behavior is a misdemeanor offense. (Are you kidding me????)
The entire Encyclopedia Britannica is banned in Texas because it contains a formula for making beer at home. (Time to dust off my encyclopedia set - particularly the B!)
