Upcoming Important Dates for anyone interested in Mortgage Financing
3-31-10 the Federal Reserve will end its mortgage backed security program. This could lead to an increase in mortgage rates since the program has been very successful at keeping mortgage rates artificially low
4-5-10 all FHA loan originated after this date will carry the increase Up front mortgage insurance premium and seller contributions will be limited to 3% from the current 6% that is allowed.
4-30-10 the last day to qualify for the homebuyers tax credit. You must have a fully executed purchase contract dated on or before 4-30-10 to qualify for the tax credit. you must also close your transaction on or before June 30, 2010.
