Staging China Cabinets
Almost every home I stage has a china cabinet that is used to STORE plates, cups/saucers, and glassware with a few scattered collectibles placed there for good measure. Very unattractive to buyers. Since staging is all about paying attention to the details that a buyer can't help but notice, I always stage the china cabinet by taking everything out, placing it on the dining table, and putting back only the items that will highlight the luxury of the piece. This makes the room appear to be less cluttered and sets the stage for entertaining, not mundane storage.
