They're busing our kids in Wake County, North Carolina... They could walk to school now - but they are moving them again so that we no longer have a community school.
Price of gas has gone up - the county doesn't have enough money - so in their brilliance, WCPSS decided that new schools will be mandatory year round schools.
It's not like I haven't been paying attention, I've been involved in politics here for a LONG time - but no one wanted to listen and have their taxes go UP. NOW THAT THEIR CHILDREN are having to go to a school further away AND YEAR ROUND - MY NEIGHBORS are all up in arms!
Cary, NC residents will ask the new Town Council to SUE the school board and stop the madness. We've had huge appreciation in my neighborhood because we have one of the TOP elementary schools in the NATION. We've worked hard as parents to make it that way!
