What Do You Need When You Build Or Upgrade Your Website?

Here we go again...yet another round in the ongoing and endless process of upgrading my website.

In all honesty, I have lost track of the number of times that I have upgraded my site.

This time round however, it's a little different. At the same time I will be upgrading my website, I will also be building a new website.

Clearly my upgrade will benefit from building the new site...and vice versa. I have given enough thought to these two processes that working on them simultaneously seems fairly straight forward.

It also occurs to me that as with all experiences, my upcoming website work will no doubt help you with building or upgrading your own website.

To facilitate this process, here are two questions for our mutual benefit.

For you, these questions will help clarify the kind of help that you need when building or upgrading your website.

For me, these questions will help identify what elements of the building and upgrading experience might help you.

Seems like a good plan to me.

Here are the questions.

When building or upgrading your website:

  1. What are your needs and concerns?
  2. What kind of information are you looking for?

I think agents should have more than one website Larry. There will be the main site (which constantly needs upgrading and work), and then you can have three or four "niche sites" which just do well for certain seach terms. These niche sites wouldn't require much work.

I think website maintenance is something that you have to set aside a few hours a week to do. It's just become a part of our jobs now.
