Thank You For Your Service In Iraq Hodges SC Veteran
A heart felt thank you for your service to our nation to Glenn Murdock who recently returned to his home in Hodges SC, he is in the middle of his third tour in Iraq and must report back shortly after Easter to finish his tour. Glenn was tearfully greeted by his wife Nikki (who holds down a full time job as a Paramedic and all the other million and one things she does to hold down the home front) and their two daughters Jordan 6 and Savannah 1 over joyed to see him safe and sound, a welcome home themed cake with tiny American Flags as decorations adorned the cake. His girls were not far from his side during the festivities held at the Hodges United Methodist Church his side. Glenn was an outstanding student, a member of The National Honor Society and was active in sports in high school. His dad said he wasn't in favor of his son joining the armed forces at first but now has found out it was the right one for his son after all. Glenn was awarded George C. Marshall Leadership Award which is awarded to only 200 people nationwide and accepted the award in Washington DC and met President George W. Bush, Glenn is head of communications for the largest brigade in Iraq he is responsible for setting up communications and computer networks for over 8,000 soldiers. There is no greater sacrifice a man can make than to go into harms way in order to keep us safe here at home. Thank you Glenn Murdock American Hero!
There are many more soldiers that have served and are serving our country from the Greenwood area. If you would like your loved one recognized feel free to contact Sally Morris and I would be happy to publicly recognize and thank them.
