After numerous suggestions from you all - I finally made it over to Flip Happy Crepes and could not wait to include it in the list! First off, I love the trailer idea - weather like this just makes you appreciate outdoor, backyard dining.
I must admit, I did not even know what a crepe was coming into this - well these made from scratch crepes have turned me into a die hard crepe lover. What is not to love - I went straight for the dessert crepe because I am a dessert connoisseur. I went with the cinnamon crepe and I do not know if I will ever be able to eat a cinnamon roll again because this was far superior.
My sister delighted in a crepe with chicken onions and goat cheese, she too a "crepe virgin" was wondering why we have not heard of this Austin secret sooner.
At the end of the day I think the atmosphere is what sold me on them completely, the staff was very nice and helpful. In an effort to venture outside your normal routine - this is a great lunch spot on days like today.
HEADS UP: most good things do have a downside...they are closed on Monday and Tuesday and expect a wait, apparently everyone around town likes a good crepe. It goes without saying that parking is not the easiest feat - but it is definitely doable.
