Fingerprinting Has Gone High Tech

Today was the big day for me to get fingerprinted in compliance with the new mortgage originator licensing program.  Finding the location was quite a challenge.  Why doesn't anyone put the street number on their buildings any more or at least on the sign out front?  As it turns out the fingerprinting business has gone high tech.  Instead of submitting oneself to the finger staining ink pad, one now merely puts his/her fingers on a glass surface and a highly sophisticated camera snaps images of the digits and signals happily when the image is acceptable.  Joy!  Now I can have my criminal background check.

Man, that's scary Jeff.  Did they implant you with a tracking computer chip as well?

Pretty amazing stuff isn't it Jeff.  Just like a fancy copy machine almost.  I could not figure out why they had a rubber mat for the fingerprentee" to stand on though.

Jeff, I laughed out loud.  Love the comment about the chip!
