Colorado Lifestyles - Focus on Parker

If you are moving to the Greater Denver area, you might want to consider relocating to Parker, Colorado.  It's a stone's through from the Denver Tech Center yet offers a wide variety of lifestyles.

People who enjoy evergreen trees, expansive blue skies and elbow room like to call Parker their home.

Parker is located in Douglas County in the SE Denver metro area and transcended from being an old stage coach stop, to a modern  bedroom community in the suburbs.  Today Parker is a full-fledged town, with both a new and revitalized downtown area.

Real Estate in Parker can be as versatile as a planned community with a public pool to a sprawling horse ranch.  The choice as always is yours.

Where would you like to live?

The communities in Parker offer housing from the low $200 to the top of the market for a 70 acre, 11 bedroom, 24 bathroom, 16 car garage estate priced at $22,000,000 family compound.

While the area has lovely planned communities, I recommend Parker for it's lovely open spaces.  Homes in the rural areas are known for larger lots, such acreage and zoning that permits horses. Homes in these outlying areas, tend to be close into town, so homeowners need not give up the convenience of being 15-20 minutes from a large grocery store, school or recreation center.

In relation to downtown Denver, commuting to work from Parker is about 30 to 50 minutes on a normal day.  Inclement weather will add more time to the drive.

Soon Parker will have a new access road to I-25 just south of Lincoln Blvd. This access will connect Parker's Main Street with the Skyridge entrance near the Medical Center.  This welcome addition is much looked forward to for relief of traffic on Lincoln.

Parker has it's own medical center, called Parker Adventist Hospital to serve the area's medical needs.

Equestrians will enjoy being close to the Colorado Horse Park, where professionals and hopeful amateurs develop their Equestrian dreams.

Parker schools are part of the award-winning Douglas County School District.
