Have you found a beautiful home on a gorgeous lake or river, but don't want to make an offer cause you are afraid it might flood? The government has a website that you can find out the if the home could flood. It is www.floodsmart.gov. If you would like to se the goverment's floodplain map, it is www.fema.gov. If you, have been a victim of flooding or want more information on flooding check out www.fema.gov.

Pam, doesn't matter where the home is, they can all flood.  What may be more appropriate is how much will flood insurance cost.  If it's in a bad flood zone, it will be costly.
