Friday Funnies: Silence is better than a mouth full of leather! Have you ever said something and as soon as the last word left your mouth, you wanted a DO-OVER? That happened to me while showing homes to a great couple who's my age...not quite 50 but moving quickly to that destination!

While talking about potential areas, I asked if they had considered a 55 and older community...I-CAN'T-BELIEVE-I-JUST-SAID-THAT!

She looks at him, he looks at me, I look at her, she looks at me, I look at him and I'm sure I looked stricken because all of a sudden they busted up laughing and that was heaven to my ears. They forgave me and we continued previewing homes.

Since that incident, I have learned to settle down, quiet down, it isn't necessary to chatter, chatter, chatter because silence is much better than eating a mouth full of leather from shoving my entire foot in my mouth!

Laughing is always the best medicine. Most folks will laugh at that experience even though you knew their age. I find that I repeat myself way too much as I get older - like not quite 50. :)

Wanda... LOL. I sorry this happened.. But it does brighten my day. WHY? I'm not the only one that has done something STUPID like this and wish they could take it back. Best thing to do is hold your head up high.. and mention that maybe in a few years they might want to consider this.
