Moncton's Royal Oaks Golf Course Residential Community is situated within city limits across from the expansive Irishtown Nature Park, which consists of 2,200 acres of forest and 250 acres of water.
About ten years ago the Royal Oaks Golf Course and the surrounding residential community was developed from a sprawling 500 acre farm. In a massive earth moving project, the gently sloping, wide open fields were shaped into the undulating landscape and water features which are seen today.
The Royal Oaks Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72, links style layout measuring 7,103 yards in length from the championship tees. The initial plan included an area set aside for a on site hotel, but to date no one has come forward to build one.
A recently constructed million dollar clubhouse, restaurant, lounge and event / entertainment facility now serves the residential community surrounding the golf course as well as the greater Moncton area.
All housing in the Royal Oaks residential neighbourhood is less than ten years old and the housing types consist of single family detached housing, row townhouses and condominium apartments. Single detached housing pricing runs from $350,000 to almost one million dollars. Condominium apartment pricing runs from $150,000 to almost $300,000. Building lots are also available, priced from $70,000 to $130,000.
Although the golf course itself has faced some financial difficulties, the public streets are not affected, existing housing is still selling and new housing continues to be built in the Royal Oaks residential golf community neighbourhood.
If you are considering a purchase in the Royal Oaks neighbourhood you would be wise to be represented by an agent who will protect your interests, a buyer's agent. If the Seller is represented by an agency then you would be wise to have your own agency representing you.
