Why worry about your competition? I don't. Real estate in good times is known to have an 80% turnover every two years. Most agents leave the business because they never develop a strategy to create more leads for themselves. Even if they do they do not know how to work real estate leads, and convert them to sales. I have agent all the time that turn down the leads I give them, and I have others agents that make in excess of 250K a year from the same leads. Go figure. The days of corporate relocations and slam dunk buyers are gone.
To all the uninformed in our business...our success is not judge by the number of fans you develop on Facebook, the points you've accumulated on ActiveRain, how many featured posts you have, and who is following your Blog. The simple truth is that success in real estate is measured by the sales you closed and more importantly the money you walk away with. Success is a discipline that separates the herd into three groups:
- Achievers - Profitable agents that succeed in making a good living from real estate.
- Dreamers - they see the potential of real estate and boast of success they do not have.
- Wannabees - They achieve nothing, have all the books, courses, and can not close a deal if their life depended on it.!
