When I was a little girl there was a hill near our home that would be covered with dandelions in the spring. I would pick as many as my tiny hand would hold and proudly bring the bouquet home to my mom.
Today my Edmond yard was covered in yellow polka dots! DANDELIONS! They had to go.
Does your yard look similar? If your Edmond home is listed for sale, you need to take action! The yellow polka dots do nothing for your curb appeal!
I am told that to eliminate dandelions, you should mow often. This will prevent the seeds from spreading. When you see one coming in, dig it out by the root. To kill the weeds without chemicals, try pouring boiling water over them.

Cute post about dandelions and yard maintenance.... most of our homes here are maintained by services... but dandelions are a no no anywhere! Kathy
Isn't it funny how we look at things differently? Remember how much joy it gave you to blow the seeds off the stem? I would be horrified if some kid did that on my lawn now! Does that make me an old fogie?
I remember my Dad having about 50 different "dandelion eradication devices" over the years. None ever worked as effectively as getting down on their level and simply pulling 'em out. Did I ever blow the tops off, you bet, just not anywhere near our lawn. Thanks Krystyn!
I like this. Your cute story helps get the reader's attention so you can give them some good advice.
It's a strange thing, Dandelions are really pretty but can take over a yard and ruin the look... If they were a taller "flower" and we had to put them in a pot to get thm to bloom, we'd look at them differently!
