Lastley, want more... how about Eastlake moorage?  There is a newer dock down on the Eastlake Waterfront - you can find state of the art Eastlake moorage available right now ranging in price from $675,000 to $950,000.  This is fee simple ownership and pretty nice - a great way to get into the Eastlake waterfront (or water covered property  in this case) market.

Your houseboat communities are fascinating, Courtney, and present a very different real estate experience, I'm sure. In the San Francisco Bay Area we have a few houseboat communities, notably in Sausalito, in Marin County just north of San Francisco, but only a handful of boats in marinas in my area.
