Many times,I have been asked how I stay motivated to keep up with my fitness routine....?

Day in and day out I am programed to do the same things. I wake up each day, head for the gym and focus on one thing ME.

After my workout, I look forward to that peaceful time in the morning where I can collect my thoughts and plan the rest of my day.

Staying motivated is the key in everything we do, so getting up everyday and focusing on ME, leaves me the rest of the day to focus on YOU!

The key for me is all in my mindset, I'm human I have days where I don't feel like going to the gym. Those are the days I work on my mind and force myself to do it. I always feel better after I have accomplished my workout.

We all make choices everyday, we choose our own destiny. If you want something bad enough you have to figure out how to get it. It starts with YOU, what do YOU want to accomplish?

Putting those thoughts into action is the hardest part! Make a plan and then take action, set goals and then pursue them. Start with changing your eating habits, write everything down. Next plan a walk and then actually do it. You will be amazed at how quickly you get in the habit.

Don't take on more than you can handle. The first step is deciding that your ready to do something, then small steps in order to accomplish the big goal.

You want to be fit...? Just get out there and do it!

I actually never thought about it that way -- focusing on yourself first and then others.  Maybe its b/c I tend to work out in the evening.

hmmm-- krispy kreme -- oh its good to have a cheat day.  I thought Bill Phillips did a good job with his contest some years back to inspire people to lose weight.

Aziz,

If I don't get my workout in the morning, I will worry about it all day. :)

Very motivating!!  Very true!!  The people I see at the gym EARLY AM are the ones who have created "this routine" and stuck to it year after year.  CONGRATS on your dedication!!  It does begin with YOU!!

Suzanne,

:) Great blogs, the problem with me it is the push the trigger "action" so it is very important that you get action and just do not say I will do this or that and you never do it.

I just joined this blog.  I worked out this morning.  Going on a decent string for a change.  I had an injury three years ago that was a pretty good excuse to hang up the whole thing for quite some time.  Three years and forty pounds later I am beginning to get back into it.  I'm beginning to think that getting back into shape could be the most important thing I can do for myself as I endeavor to succeed in this business.  It is, after all, about discipline...not necessarily doing what feels good but what you know you need to do and, after it's all done, saying it was all kind of cool.

Great advice!  Your mind must be made up and set to be able to make the change successful.

Great Post! And thank you for the comment on my post. It is all in the mind and it is an everyday thing, not just once in a while, or when we feel like it.

We have to stay on track, ESPECIALLY, when we DON'T feel like it...

Consistency is key!!

Thanks,

Sally
