NWMLS IDX Solution

By
Real Estate Agent with nwRealty.Com

I browsed the "AR IDX" group and didn't see very many posts so I thought I should post to that group and other groups in Washington State.

We've provided websites with NWMLS IDX search solutions since 1999.  Adhering to three principles has enabled us to share a significant degree of success with our customers ...

  1. Employ basic "User Friendly" design with easy to follow navigation.

  2. Stubbornly stick to the fundamentals of website design and Google's "webmaster guidelines".

  3. Mirror the Brokerages business online to best serve their clientele.

We've seen numerous "flavor of the month" technologies come and go.  And I've witnessed several competitors flee from the NWMLS niche market "screaming and pulling out hair".

Anyone interested can view our work from links at http://www.nwrealty.net/.  This is a simple page linking to all of our work, the newer ones resembling http://www.nwp2.com/.  And some older ones like http://www.haroldallen.com/, which has ranked extremely well with Google and Yahoo for several years (which is why I caution the Broker about any changes).

After seven years, I've finally added the NWMLS data to our site at www.nwrealty.com which acts as a lead generator for our customers.  We're still polishing the site for this purpose and preparing to release a new service for agents in the Seattle Metro and Washington markets.

Hi Larry - what is IDX?  What is it you're linking?  I looked at all 3 sites, but I'm not sure.

I would like to get IDX on my website. I checked into it a little but that's as far as I got.

Amy ... I haven't reviewed RMLS policies for a year so I'm not up to date and what it takes to get their data on your site.  But since you're a small brokerage it should be rather cost effective for you to join NWMLS and acquire access to more data across the river into Washington.

Here are some "newest listing" previews of your market area ...

Melissa ... IDX referes to the reciprocal sharing of broker listing information on websites.  You can read a good explanation here - http://activerain.com/blogsview/87491/What-is-IDX

Thanks,
Larry
