Concerned Parent

Great school as far as teachers are concerned.  Truly care about the students and their progress. Above average parent participation.

Principal leadership has gone downhill like a rocket, unfortunately.  Started out rock solid with Mr. Principal #1, continued with Mr. Principal #2, then screached to a halt with Mrs. Principal #3. She does not follow in the footsteps of two great principals who came before her.  More interested in being a traffic cop during drop-off and pick-up, paying the most attention to the misbehaved (and making those students who excel feel isolated, as if they've done something wrong).  Feel the same way?  Post it!  Disagree with me?  Post it too!  And sorry to add a bit of humor to a very serious topic, but during parent/teacher night Mrs. Principal #3's shirt was cut lower than my home value has gone! For goodness sake, it's an elementary school!

I went to Fitzgerald Elementary when it first opened in on 1996. I’m also in the time capsule which was buried on the School ground under the flag poll on June 26 1995. Can’t wait til they actually open it
