Return all calls as if they were all good news coming. Sales Tips!

Getting the phone to ring is a solid accomplishment. Just ask someone whose phone doesn't ring what that is all about. Opportunity used to knock-now it rings, beeps, buzzes, or vibrates. Take it any way it comes, and do something with it. Step one is respond. Do not age phone messages. The best in the business return all calls within sixty minutes. They take calls as pager signals. Their sales calls usually average sixty minutes or less, at which time they return pages with a phone response. Many tell their customers that they are available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, in the case of real emergencies. That is a great selling benefit that seldom has to be delivered upon.

When the phone message is from someone you really don't want to talk with, be professional and take your medicine. Get it over with quickly. Every so often you get a positive good news surprise. Put yourself in the mind set that something good can happen at any time, and your first indication of great events will no doubt be a phone call. Bad news travels fast by the same means, but the percentages should be with you, and so most of what will come to you will be positive and will mean future income. One never knows, but one ought to find out immediately. Everyone sells service. Every returned call is a demonstration of that service.

Couldn't agree more Kevin.....I always try to answer or I return the call quickly.....if it is someone trying to sell me something I don't want I just say.....No thank-you not at this time and I hang up.....pretty simple....

I agree - It drives me nuts when you call people and they won't take your call or don't return it.
