Del Rio Park, a park in the City of Franklin, TN.
One of the many nice things about living in Franklin, TN is the Parks System. Del Rio Park is a located at the corner of Wedgewood Drive and Del Rio Court. Behind the Rogershire Sub-division off of Del Rio Pike.
Del Rio Park is considered a small neighborhood passive park with a gazebo, a playground and a small field to play in. Passive parks are small landscaped parcels. These mini-parks are intended to provide either specialized facilities that serve a local population or a specific user group and are typically limited to a small, attractive open area presentation.
On a sunny day it is filled with parents and children from the neighborhood enjoying the playground. A couple sitting in the gazebo shaded from the sun. And a father teaching his children to catch a ball in the open area between the tress.
Del Rio Park is on of 16 parks maintained by the City of Franklin.
