The health care debate has divided this country like few things have in the recent past.  I am not debating in here whether it is right or wrong.  My motivation today is that I am glad that I live in a Nation that for the most part Freedom still exists, and men and women still give freely.  I am writing this to those who sacrificed even when it didn't benefit them in the long nor the short term, you are heroes in every sense of the word. Thanks for that, I hope that if put in the same position, I will be as brave and noble as you were!

Tony, Hopefully, we can all continue to enjoy our freedoms with civility as we disagree. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have ground rules. You know, You can voice your opinion, and so can I. Let's just respect each other and the right to differ.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Yes, some gave all.  I was just a young child when the soldiers coming home from Vietnam and Korea were so mistreated.  I look at that bit of history as the most shameful of our nation.

Don't you wish a lot of the folks would be thinking this way - instead of creating such craziness over not agreeing.

Linda, Thank you for commenting.  I do not like the total lack of respect and civility that is going along with this debate.  Whether I like this or not, I do believe that my mother was correct when she said there is never an excuse to be rude.

Steve & Jan, Thanks for sharing you photo.  It is true many, many heroes rest in Arlington!

Tammy, I remember the tail end of Vietnam, it is horrific the way those returning soldiers were treated!  Very few of them asked to go, yet they went anyway.

Myrl, thank you!

Anna, In a word yes, it is time to start thinking about what is best for the entire country, not what ever party we are affiliated with nor what ever our special interests are.

More than just some. Many gave all, and I suspect that many will be required to give all as long as we have religion and patriotism.
