Magnolia Harbour, at Lake Anna, Virginia, is a beautiful subdivision. It is located right off of Courthouse Road (Route 208) on the Spotsylvania County side of Lake Anna.
Magnolia Harbour is one of the smaller subdivisions around the lake. Filled with some stunning homes, it sits on the main side with its more than 9,000 square acres of surface water and has easy access to marinas and lake side restaurants.
This subdivision, like most of those at Lake Anna, is made up of access and waterfront properties. Sold prices for resale homes have ranged from $345,000 to $1,090,000.
Current there are no homes for sale. However there are two waterfront lots available. One has approximately 250' of shoreline for $399,900 and another priced at $297,000 with 150' along the shore.
The property with the highest tax assessment, for land and improvements, is a lovely home with almost two acres of prime waterfront (not pictured here). The 2008 assessment was $1,722,601. While Spotsylvania County does the tax assessments every two years and the statements have been sent to property owners, they are not on the county web site as yet.
Most of the waterfront homes are on lots that slop towards the water. This enables them to construct homes with walk-out lower levels. From the road side homes will appear to be one or two story while from the back (or lake side) the houses appear much larger.
Glass is a mainstay of many Lake Anna homes, especially those on the water. Magnolia Harbour is no exception. The use of extensive windows and sliding or french doors facing the lake, along with decks and covered porches, are signature features in lake homes. Home owners treasure the views and ensure that they see as much of Lake Anna as possible.
With plenty of large hardwoods, Magnolia Harbour provides a lovely natural setting for a variety of beautiful homes. Fortunately for someone looking to build a home here that is still a possibility.
