Master Bath        MasterBath2

When photographing bathrooms, it's a great idea to take angle shots into the mirror.

The first picture is accurate, shows there are 2 sinks, a bathtub and a shower. But the second picture gives a feeling of depth. Angle yourself so that you can see there are jets in the tub, and can see there are 2 windows (in the mirror), both bath and shower.

Make sure you've got a good wide-angle lens camera so you can create a story with your pictures. If it's not a wide lens, you're going to end up with 2-wall photos. When you're ready for a new digital camera, check into the Kodak Easy Share P880. It's a true point-and-shoot camera (super easy to use). They're under $300 through Costco after the instant mail-in rebate.

It's more than just taking photos for the flyer. Photos hold listings in the palm of their hands (if they have hands!) because a poor photo can destroy any attempt at staging.. and sour first impressions.

Craig Schiller inspired this blog. He's my hero and the AR Staging God. And, he really *GETS IT* when it comes to straight walls.

I have always done it this way. I guess some of us just have a talent for seeing with a photographer's eye.

Thanks for the camera advice, I'm in the market for one and advice is always nice.

Great idea for the pictures too. Quality over Quantity everytime.

Taking good bathroom shots can be a huge challenge.  Often they are such small rooms that you cannot get a descent.  Keeping yourself out of the shot is correct as well as putting down the tollet seat.  You also have to be careful when taking window shots or you will find yourself in those as well.  I have ruined more than one great shot finding myself in the picture when I downloaded.

I love your "Bathroom Mirror Trick"!    One thing I always have to think about when I'm photoing rooms with mirrors:  To be sure my own reflection isn't showing up in the mirror when I snap the shot!

Very nice, especially when you shoot into the mirror and don't photograph yourself =)!

I have gone with a higher end camera, but in any case, the wide angle lens is a must.

One beauty of a digital camera - you can see if you're in the photo before leaving the house so can take another.
