Fix Photos like Magic with Content-Aware Fill

By
Real Estate Agent with Discovery Real Estate Ltd. - "Homes By Jones"

Adobe the makers of Photoshop CS4 , Photoshop Elements,  Adobe Reader , Adobe Illustrator ; the list goes on and on has just introduced Photoshops Content-Aware Fill and is is true wizardry.

Have you ever wished the picture you took of that house didn't have that awful tree in the front, or maybe the old Junker parked in the driveway detracts from the home.  Well, what used to take forever with Photoshop or Photo Elements can be repaired in a jiffy with Adobe's Photoshop CS4 Content-Aware Fill.  If you have ever trued this type of photo editing you may have given up due to time or your inability to master the technique.  While Adobe has not yet Rolled this out yet it has been introdced and is likely to be available soon.

I won't be able to do this justice in words so watch the video below;

Guys, just be careful that when you start manipulating photos of your listings, that you don't change or hide something that is permanent.  For example, I would only remove the tree if the owners were planning on removing it soon and I'm not even sure then.  It would be okay to remove temporary things like that Junker.  I was thinking about removing trash cans and the such.  However, I will always contend that it's better to get it right in camera rather than having to fix it in Photoshop.

Having said all that, this is really cool technology.  I too want it and see where it would save me much time.

Hi Bill,

This is absolutely amazing. When I first saw this awhile back, I couldn't wait for CS5 to come out. This is definitely on my 'must-have' list. I think the release date is April 12th. Thanks for the post.

Amazing.  On my non real estate photos, I have spent a lot of time doing some of the things he mentioned and was not happy with the end result.  What trick will be next?

I can't wait to play with this feature myself. I actually did not like the CS4 interface as much as CS2...but I like this tool in CS5. It will surely be worth checking out!
