Only 30 Days Left for Tax Credit

O.k. so talk has been really quiet about any extension for the tax credit. I personally do not think it is going to get extended this time like it did in November. That leaves you 30 days to find a house and get it under contract if you still want to take advantage of either the First time buyer $8,000 credit or the $6,500 Move Up buyer tax credit.

You must have the home under contract by April 30th
You must close on the home by June 30th

Again, it does not appear that it is going to be extended this time, I will be watching closely and if it does I will post it on my blog.

Mike I agree that they won't extend the stimulus. The economy is not recovering as quickly as they had hoped but I don't think the administration got the bang from it they were looking for.

You're right. Chatter of an extension has been scarce unlike the rumors that were floating around at the time of the first extension. This could very well be it. Come get it while it lasts.

Its going to be the Cash for Clunkers program all over again. Everything will stop and then what? With the prices having gone down, as low as they have in some areas, if you can't buy them without assistance they might just as well be crushed!

And let's let the banks continue to control the inventory and the prices of the homes. I havee seen numerous homes that have completed the foreclosure process and the banks are not putting them back on the market.

Then there's the short sale process that's screaming mismanagement, but the banks are allowed to keep ploding along and now we are trying to reward them with incentives???

That's today's rant!
